Today, you will dive into the heart of Copenhagen with a local host and a small group. You will begin by walking through the Old Town, hearing the stories behind its historic squares, the Royal Library Gardens, and the streets that many visitors pass without noticing.

About an hour into the tour, you will board the electric harbor ferry used by locals every day and glide along Copenhagen’s main canal for around twenty-five minutes. It follows the same waterways as the tourist boats but without the long queues, giving you a different perspective of the city from the water.

Back on land, continue on foot toward the Little Mermaid and through the historic ramparts of Kastellet, with a short café break along the way. The tour finishes at Amalienborg Palace, timed to coincide with the Changing of the Guard in the palace square—a traditional ceremony and one of Copenhagen’s most iconic experiences.

In the afternoon, we suggest heading to Christiansborg Palace to climb the tower and enjoy panoramic views of Copenhagen, or wandering through Torvehallerne Market for a late lunch. In the evening, Tivoli Gardens is a wonderful way to end the day, especially once the gardens light up after dark.

This morning, join a local guide for a three-hour small-group walking tour through the heart of Oslo. With the afternoon free, we suggest heading to the Bygdøy Peninsula to visit the Fram Museum, where you can step aboard the famous polar exploration ship, followed by the nearby Kon-Tiki Museum. The seasonal public ferry to Bygdøy operates from April through October; the museums can also be reached by bus. Art lovers may instead prefer MUNCH, the impressive 13-floor museum dedicated to Edvard Munch and contemporary art.
